AT&T Statement on COVID-19 Hate Crimes Act

The following may be attributed to Tim McKone, AT&T Executive Vice President of Federal Relations:

“The increase in reported violence against the Asian, Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) community underscores the need for action and support from all of us. We applaud Congress for passing the COVID-19 Hate Crimes Act to help accelerate the response to hate crimes, improve reporting of these hate crimes, and expand cultural education campaigns. We appreciate the leadership of Senator Hirono, Congresswoman Meng, and Congressional Asian Pacific American Caucus Chairwoman Chu on this important issue and look forward to President Biden signing the bill into law.”
