The following may be attributed to Joan Marsh, AT&T Senior Vice President of Federal Regulatory:

“Nearly 30 million rural Americans do not have broadband service today.  AT&T commends Chairman Pai and his fellow Commissioners for moving forward promptly with these two critical broadband programs.  The Connect America Fund II and Mobility Fund II auctions are complex proceedings, but additional delay is not an option for rural consumers who are waiting to get connected.  By adopting an efficient MFII data collection process along with a well-defined challenge process, this funding can be better targeted to the areas that need it most.  The Commission’s actions today are a big win for rural Americans.”
