The following statement may be attributed to Joan Marsh, AT&T Executive Vice President of Regulatory & State External Affairs:

“Today, the FCC takes another step in the right direction toward completing the ongoing transformation of the nation’s communications networks from outdated legacy facilities to next-generation technologies. Today’s ruling, the second in less than a year, continues this Commission’s efforts to remove or modify unnecessary regulations, allowing communications providers to focus their marketplace activities and capital investments on next-generation networks and services for consumers. These efforts are particularly important as the industry continues to invest in the wireline fiber and 5G wireless technologies that will power the innovations of tomorrow.”
