The following may be attributed to Joan Marsh, Executive Vice President of Regulatory & State External Affairs:

“After an eight-year hiatus – during a period when competition in the wireless industry has been red hot – we are pleased that the FCC has again concluded that mobile wireless service is effectively competitive.  As the Commission’s detailed report makes clear, with an array of providers, pricing plans and service offerings to choose from, there’s no question that consumers are reaping the benefits of a competitive industry. By conducting a thoughtful and thorough analysis of the realities of the marketplace, the Commission has returned to a commonsense, fact-based approach to fulfilling its obligation to Congress.”
