“We commend President Trump, Ambassador Robert Lighthizer and the Staff of the Office of the United States Trade Representative on concluding this stage of the US – Japan trade negotiations.
“AT&T fully supports the successful completion of this important step of the US-Japan trade negotiations. We are particularly encouraged by the high digital trade standards included in the agreement. Like the digital trade chapter included in the US, Mexico, Canada Agreement, these provisions allow countries to compete on a level-playing field by raising global standards on digital trade. Once adopted, the digital trade measures in this agreement and USMCA will help establish 21st century rules for the digital economy and provide us with the opportunity to further U.S. economic growth, job creation and investment.”
